Ode Aan Liris was imported as a weanling in 1996 by Knollwood Farm. She attended her foal keuring later that year and was awarded first premium. She is a stud book mare for the KWPN-NA and is in the main mare book for ISR Oldenburg NA.
Ode Aan Liris is by Argus, and out of the super mare, Liris KEUR PREF PREST by Eros KEUR. Her sire Argus, was the only stallion to be simultaneously competing in both grand prix show jumping as well as international dressage. Besides his amazing under saddle achievements, Argus sired more first premium foals in 1988 than any other breeding stallion. By his second breeding season in the United States he sired more first premium foals than any other stalli on during their entire breeding careers. Argus continues to be an outstanding dam sire and has ranked high in the USDF dam sire rankings.
Her mother Liris, earned her PREF and PREST predicates two times and also holds the prestigious KEUR predicate. Liris was the dam to 16 foals including the approved stallion Uniform KEUR PREF. Uniform sired many top dressage horses, including Robert Dover's Olympic mount Metallic. He also sired three licensed sons, Gregor, Highness, and Junior-STV.
Ode Aan Liris consistently puts nice strait legs with plenty of bone on her foals. They have strong toplines, uphill builds, and the best easy-going temperaments. She is currently in foal to Farrington KEUR for a 2010 foal. This foal should be an outstanding dressage prospect!
